    Asian Super Grid: an overview

    Italy welcomes BRI 

    The news of today regarding BRI, is that Italy might be the only G7 country embracing the Chinese Initiative. An article of the Financial Times, highlighted how Italy is currently underway on the talks with China while stirring a negative reaction among the other G7 countries.

    Kazakhs wary of Chinese embrace 

    At this link, an interesting LinkedIn post by Philippe Le Corre (Senior Fellow of Harvard Kennedy School of Government) analyses the economic and political influences of China and Russia on Kazakhstan. It is worth a read because it highlights the general suspicions of Kazakhi toward China, despite welcoming and benefitting greatly from Chinese investments. What follows is a re-elaboration of the post highlighting its main points.

    At this link you can see an overview of the projects connected to BRI categorized by type (transport, energy, mining, IT, communications, tourism and urban development). This other report from Deloitte, shows the same kind of categorization, plus extremely relevant information of backgound,funding, risk, projects, opportunities and general insights.My personal view is that the energy component is relevant and worth of consideration for our research.
